Post Race: Euro F3

FIA F3 grabbed headlines for a big crash during the second race at Spa, however it was a much calmer affair compared to the last round in Monza. The first race was incredibly entertaining which eventually saw Charles Leclerc win ahead of Felix Rosenqvist and Alexander Albon after Antonio Giovanazzi clashed with Rosenqvist.

The second race gained some attention on social media after two incidents. The first involved Lance Stroll who moved across Mikkel Jensen who had nowhere to go and ended up crashing into Rosenqvist as the three went three wide approaching Les Combes which resulted in all three being forced to retire from the race. The action meant that Stroll was excluded from competing in race three.

The second incident in race two occurred between Gustavo Menezes and Brandon Maisano which saw Menezes end up going airborne. The incidentĀ meant that the race finished under the safety car as Jake Dennis won ahead of Santino Ferrucci and Sergio Sette Camara.

The final race took place on the Sunday. It was another eventful race as the drivers attempted to cope with the damp track conditions.

Tatiana Calderon starred as she managed to lead thanks to running wet weather tyres. However Dennis eventually took the lead thanks to the drying track. The change of track conditions forced Calderon to change to dry tyres.

Markus Pommer was disqualified during the race after incidents with Felix Rosenqvist.

Eventually Dennis won from Leclerc and George Russell. It means that Charles Leclerc leads the championship from Jake Dennis and Felix Rosenqvist. The leader going into the round at Spa, Antonio Giovinazzi, has now dropped to fourth in the championship.

The next round in European F3 is the Norisring, Nuremberg in Germany which takes place from 26th June to 28th June.
