Grand Prix of Catalunya Preview

Friday signals the return of MotoGP and its feeder series as they head to Barcelona for the Grand Prix of Catalunya.

Moto3

Despite having not won a race since Jerez, Danny Kent has managed to maintain a strong gap to the rest of the Moto3 riders in the standings. However both Fenati and Bagnaia have achieved decent results in the last two rounds.

Moto2

After a difficult start to the season, Esteve Rabat finally managed to win at the last round in Mugello. Will this lead to him now reasserting his dominance over the championship that he won last year. Johann Zarco has remained consistent, finishing on the podium in the last five rounds, of which one of them was a win.

MotoGP

Despite leading the championship and having finished on the podium in every single round so far this year, Valentino Rossi has admitted that the form of his Yamaha team mate, Jorge Lorenzo has been concerning. Lorenzo has won the last three Grand Prix, closing the gap to Rossi to just six points. Marquez has endured a difficult season to date and will be hoping that a home race will finally help get his season back on track. It won’t be easy however as not only will the two Yamaha’s undoubtedly be competitive, but the two Ducati’s will be an ever present threat as they have been throughout the season so far.
